why is it they love the bike at first then they decide it is a thing. I always have that issue. They never want to spend an ounce of time thinking that I had a bike when I met them, they expect me to quit riding on a beautiful night to take them to see some sappy ass movie I have absolutely no interest in. If I could find that 1 girl that actually had an interest in my bike I would buy her one and spend the rest of my life in biker dreamland.

"Yeah? Well if you were as accomodating whenever I wanted to go for a ride on YOU, then maybe we wouldn't be having this conversation..." And that's why I spend a lot of time in the garage.

Nitekreeper, you've clearly proven that you have nothing better to do aside from trolling. I think everyone here would agree with me.

Ummm.... yeah.... when I said something like that, she went on strike for almost a month. You guys are 1000% right though. Now she loves the winter because I have to stay in and watch mushy movies with surround sound sobbing and women on horses galloping in fields to nowhere in HD.
At work, the general consensus is if the respective significant other would ride us the way we want without nagging, whinning, complaining, shopping for non bike accessories, then there wouldn't be a problem. I can turn on my Suzi and get her screaming with the flick of the wrist. She's always in the mood.

Voided make sure you hold onto that girl of yours so you dont have to join our conversation!
Rush that is probably one of the sadest stories I have ever heard. Sounds alot like mine!
Rush I Love how you vent and then the apron strings immediately tighten just in fear of retaliation if she snoops into your bike forum conversation of all things.

cromlice/ guys,
You wouldn't believe this but- as I was writing that last post, she came upstairs. "What are you doing? Why are you switching screens?" You don't want to know all the emasculation I have to endure to attend a bike night. I now commute with the bike 93 miles each way to work. (cheaper on gas I tells her) But alas, she spent a lot of money to fix one of the gas guzzling cages. What's the point in having a bike if you can't ride? I told her I'd simply donate it or sell it. She responded with the "Do whatever you want" reply. 2 days later, 'When you get the money for the bike, will we have enough for the fence in the back yard?' (that she doesn't use) Fear not, the bike stays.
If you'll excuse me, that kitchen floor won't mop itself...

Lololol I still want want fresh food on those dishes and not the dishes on me. Ok- I confess. She bought me the bike. Which translates to a near lifetime of servitude. Gentlemen, I do have other needs as well.
