HI Guys
Sorry I know this question has been asked at least once I'm sure, but after a search I could not find the answer. Has anyone used sv clip-ons? I ask only because I would like a slightly sportier ride. I used to own a sv and like the riding position.
With them though, you'll need some Vortex Bar ends to suit...
And also, once i work out a solution to the gear shifter location problem, I just brought a set of these http://www.banditmaniashop.co.uk/bandit ... 1116-p.asp, and they've given me the sporty sort of position I was afer... Keep an eye on this post though, adjustable-rear-sets-t4276.html, as once I find a solution to the problem, I'll post it up...

Thanks for the info dashy, but not really what i'm after. the stock clip-ons for the sv have a slight rise in them. bugger it, will buy a set off ebay and give it a try. it should cost more than a few bucks.
Those clip-ons have a little offset (Offset High, 1.5" rise, 5° down angle).

it's a 41mm which is our fork diameter, with a riser. it should work. Who really cares if he has to take a grinder here or there a little bit so's they clear. it's gonna be cheaper than vortex, and look WAY MORE like it's meant to be there, unless he really buggers it with the grinder. it should be way more comfortable. the front suspension is smushy anyway. a -little- more weight on the bars is going to go a -very- long way. Going to a race bar on a commuter fork in any situation other than just looks and cruising around pretending you're on a supersport is asking for trouble if you ask me.
I can't say for sure there's a way to screw the SV install up, where you're trimming the riser should cover all you're taking out of the upper triple, IF ANYTHING AT ALL, because no one's actually proven if it works or does not. I'm kinda curious if it'll work. I've been kicking around the idea, myself in fact.
