Any Aussies going to the show ????

i've never been to a motorcycle motorshow , are they any good ?

Haven't been before either. The car shows were not too bad to begin with, but haven't been for a few years. Thought I would check out the bike show for a change.

You got to go ,you can sit on every bike in the place and not be asked if you want to buy it ,its a tyre kickers dream.
I did have a great time last year it was the first time Id seen the GSX650F in the flesh and I already knew it was the bike I wanted ,but needed to as sit on it ,It sealed the deal and then had 3 saleman from 3 dealers ,fighting for the sale ,$11,500 for actions .$11,000 sydney city ,$10,300 ride away Westerns at penrith .
Picked it up 6 weeks later when they got in the shop.
The motoX jumping is AWESOME to watch .
Watch 5 and 6 year old learn to ride a 50cc honda for the first time EVER and then with in 10 minutes little boys and girls are doing laps and laps racing around a 40 meter grass track ..I watch this for over an hour ,the looks on the kids facing was priceless ,then the looks on Mum and Dads faces when the kids saying they want one and how much it will cost them .PRICE LESS
And there is after market stuff ,like straps for bags ,leather cleaners ,helmets ,boots .................

And there is other things to look at .

Just a tip ,take water with you is $$$$$ and you do walk alot ,take a lunch if your going to be there all day ,I could spend 8 hours there and go back the next day ,the is always some thing going on.

I paid full price for mine $11,500 from central coast suzuki , at the time they were the only ones who had a blue / white for sale in NSW, and i could'nt wait and didnt think to haggle price first.

i'm defintly going now, might get a good deal on some panniers or something.

Central Coast Suzuki stuffed me around for a while - couldn't find a blue and wanted me to take the black in stock. Said they would ring back and they wouldn't. Then they located a blue at Taree (actually Wauchope) and the boss wanted me to pay half the transport costs to get it down.

By this stage I was going o/seas on a holiday, then off to Mt Isa for 2 weeks with work, then a hospital trip. So I asked them to hold off for the 2009 model, which I received 10 days ago.

They were good in letting me know about the new bike though and actually had it ready for me when they promised. Russell and Warren helped me out.

I'm working saterday ,got to work aleast 1 day this week.

But off sunday ,need a day of rest and will be at the show from about noon -5pm.

Sorry we won't catch up. I can only make it Saturday - driving to Cobar for work at 8:30am Sunday. I promise not to buy out all the GSX650F T-shirts !!

we went to the bike show on the sunday , not bad.

Weather was'nt the best so some of the outdoor events were cancelled.

They only had one standard black 650f on display. I was hopeing to see the gt version with panniers and taller screen ect.

Lots of nice bikes on display.

Yeah a GT ,would of got a few peoples interest, I did notice alot of people trying out LAMS bikes ,some had a que to sit on them like the GSX650FU and the SV650FU also the honda 400 its looks real cool in a old school kinda way.

The lite blue GSX FU ,looks good ,wasn't keen on the new small decals in the pictures ,but looks ok in the flesh.

Did the show on Saturday and in the bike parking area was a 2008 blue 650F and the owner had a helmet strapped to the seat EXACTLY the same as mine. Obviously great taste !!!
