Has anyone tried the T-Rex Racing Suzuki GSX650F NoCut Frame Sliders? They just became available for the GSX650F.

Very affordable, and T-Rex products are good quality. I was wondering how they were mounted and if it was easy to remove fairings once they are in place.

I just installed it, but it might have gotten one of the initial runs of these. Left side went on with absolutely no problem. Right side bracket was a major PITA. Either the measurement was a bit off or the bracket was quite bent right because it took a bit to get the bolts aligned. Plus, one of the bracket holes was not countersunk so I had to hunt down a washer to get some clearance for the slider. I'll have to get some pics of it when it's light out.

Here are some pics of it, unfortunately I tried them out this morning. Pulled up to a light and put my left foot down and the bike started to go right instead. Good thing I installed them last night. Landed on the right side slider and only a scratch on the right fairing, not visible unless up close. Slider is scratched on the bottom, but that's better than the bike.

How far it sticks out the from the fairings.

it would've busted likely your mirror, dinging your exhaust really badly, dinged both rightside cases, cracked your fairing either on the topside by the uncowl, or in the radiator duct's sort of out-shoot...

So! You've averted like... 500 bucks in damage. how does it feel to be smart?

I was not so damn smart.... >_>

Good point, $100 for the slider is smarter than $500 for parts to fix. I'm pretty sure I must have gotten an early production one, as it was just released recently. Plus, they mention on their website that the sliders are parts that are replaceable.

Just installed mine. As stated left side is easy. Right side a pain. Even with the bolts all l
oose there is no way it all lines up. Took 2 ft piece of broom handle leveraging against the bike to get the lower bar to line up. It was off by about a hole diameter. Getting to some frame nuts on the right side was Interesting. Took a few moments to state.d back and think of something else to try. But heck for $95 with shipping I expected some problems. I'll write t-re xto see what they say

I fitted the R&G frame sliders to mine and they fitted absolutely perfectly, the engineering on them was fantastic. Of course, they were a bit more expensive than these ones.

Wil524, Thanks for posting pics.

I've emailed Trex about the right side install issue and hoping to get a reply.

Also, here's the link on ebay:

Guys,

I got response from the manufacturer and they have corrected the issue. Here's their comment:

"Hi,
I did some measurement on the bracket. You are correct in pointing out the issue. The bottom hole was off about .25". I will have all the bracket modified before shipping starting from now. Your sliders will be corrected if you decide to purchase.
Thank you very much for pointing out the issue. We depend on customers like you to make improvements on our product."
