hi all,

im a tall guy 6 foot 4. weigh approx 109 kg. busy fixing up a friend of mines 650f and he is considering selling to me.

i am worried i might be too big for the bike?

are they good bikes? i do ride an old 850g shaftie and am happy with that, but looking for something a bit more modern as well.

I dont have any problems with the bike, it's a joy to drive it !
it's even better then my old bike (suzuki GSX600F '96).

6'2'' 270 my 2008 fits me fine

I'm 6'4" and 270 lbs. My SuziF (08 GSX650F) fits me like a nice sneaker.

She's a heavy baby to begin with (216 kg (480 lbs) (dry) 241 kg (530 lbs) (wet)) and so from my experience, this higher dry-weight complements the packet, bike/rider 3XL, as I'm.

I've set the pre-load on the fork to medium 4 rings visible and the rear suspension is OEM at 3 rings. While riding on her, the rear end doesn't go down at all.

thanks all. yea it is a nice bike, busy fixing up the gearbox as it could select 1, 2, 3 , 4 and not 5th or 6th. once going through the gears to selct the gears and back to neutral it make a horrible grinding noise. also when the engine off could not slect neutral.

the gears and the selector forks have blued and worn through on the fork ends, the main bearings dont look too great as well.

Bike has done 27,000km.

I am 6'4v" and 130kg fits fine, pulls nice ' still get front wheel up an inch when WOT take off.

I'm 6'2", 200 lbs, or about 90 kg, and it fits fine. The only complaint I've seen from some is the seat comfort, so many opt for a Corbin or Sergent seat. The bike is pretty tall, and as some said top heavy. Compared to the Super Glide I had before, I find this riding position more comfortable than the laid back cruiser style.
Sounds like you have a lot of work to do to fix it up. Some used ones here in pristine condition are going for $3000

6 foor 4 and 354lbs. I believe i am at the upper limit of being relatively comfortable on this bike. couple of mods (seat and risers) and im reasonably comfortable. cant do anything about my height and its not the bikes fault im fat.

The 650F is a very good bike. But for someone your size there are better bikes out there. I am only 6'1" and I feel a lack of room on it. Thats fine most of the time riding to and from work for 30 minutes each way, so if you are just looking for a bike for short fast rides its great. But if you are more touring oriented and will be riding for 2 hours or more I would look elsewhere.

got the gearbox out Ouch going to need forks, clutser gears and a main shaft.

oh well- its gonna be expensive

Well.... I'm a 6'2" rider, 210lbs. I have ridden the bike on lots of short trips (30-40min or so), as well as a 7hr road trip. The bike fits me great, the only thing I don't 100% love is the lack of padding on the seat by my nutz. Its fine for shorter rides, but after an hour or more I begin to wish it was a little more comfy.

The seat on my 91' Katana 600 is much nicer in my opinion.

Hey there. For me, at 6'1", and 31 inch inseam, I find my legs to be a bit cramped up. Not enough to make me want to trade bikes or anything though. It's easy enough to stretch the legs out. However that seat is horrible!!! I'll be asking Santa Claus for a Sargent seat this Christmas
