In this installment of my multiple part series on getting the @#&%*$! fairing repaired, we shall discuss the dynamics of figuring out vague stuff.

I'm looking for new decals for my right-side fairing. I'm going to get a body shop to plastic-weld and touch up the paint on my scratched-up fairing.

I'm going to need replacement decals, but I'm not sure where to get them and how much they should cost.

Particularly, I can't find any aftermarket decals that resemble the OEM, and the OEM decals are mysterious.

From this diagram:

http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/model_years/4465-suzuki-2008-gsx650f/assemblies/126770

... Is the right-side fairing decals this(#3):

http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/products/605765-suzuki-68181-17h00-fjk-hard-parts-emblem-rh

... Or this(#7-2):

http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/products/605960-suzuki-68185-17h00-fjj-hard-parts-tape-rh-egr-yay-black-ymd-silver?comment=%3B+FOR+EGR

Looking at my bike, the red and silver stripes appear to be part of the same decal as the GSX650F logo.

So what gives? Is it the US$18 "Emblem" or is it the US$74 "Tape"?

Insight much appreciates :)

So you're saying I'd need both of those decals to look stock?

that's what I'm saying. try www.tapeworks.com

They might be able to help you consolodate, considering they make a one-piecer to change the look of stock.
Consider perhaps a small change, or maybe they can cut you a OEM looking setup if you jaw with them for 10 minutes or so on the phone.

As far as I can tell, their decals are monochrome. Also, they're not any cheaper than the OEM supplier if I'm only replacing the two.

Looks like I'll be ordering the "decal" and the "tape." :(
