had bike for six months now .. mostly garaged at night but of late on driveway as garage full of VW engines .. always starts first time andno throttle issues ..

then last week I go to start it - alarm off - in neutral - clutch in - turn key and FI light etc goes out as normal - usual buzzing noise from engine - then press starter - it turns but wont fire - plenty fuel .... hmmmm

in end it goes but idles a bit rough for a minute or so ..

today it starts OK but throttle is a real pain - very snatchy - roll off the throttle and the bike virtually stands on it's nose - open throttle and nothing then a large jolt as it surges .. and not just at the 4000rpm point where it shuts off when u roll off .. it does this for 15 miles in the rain - nice !!

leave it shut down for half hour at dentist and when it restarts all is back to normal ..

any ideas anyone ?? next stop is the dealers ... it is 1000 miles since it's 11000 service and it was great when it came back but now I have had issues ..

Not sure this will help but if it was mine I would try some fuel injector additive to the petrol and perhaps some fuel line water remover such as "iso-heet", whatever to remove any water in the tank. My bike sets out quite a bit under cover but because of condensation I have the heet on my to add maint list plus fi cleaner 1x each year.

I know its very wet in the uk so this might be a good start.

It sounds like bikrdn is on the right track.
bad gas or water in the gas.
it never hurts to try the easy stuff first.

It's possible that you might have some condensation in your airbox.
