I can believe that the Givi rack would be stronger (judging by appearances), but I have never heard of the SW Motech one failing. I've had mine for more than two years and used it nearly every day without issues, and I pretty much always overload it, including carrying the odd case of beer home on it. Its a lot tougher than it may look in pictures, when you heft it in your hand you will see what I mean. The bolts would probably shear off before the rack itself broke.
Does the Coocase box come with a universal mounting plate? If so, I would give it a go before shelling out for an adapter, unless you can't be bothered messing about and are looking for a quick and easy install. Depends on how much the money is worth to you.

Ok, I want to say a special thanks to everyone who helped me decide on my topcase. I got it today, installed it, and I COULD NOT be happier with my purchase! The gloss black looks awesome! The SW Motech bracket is very rigid, and the remote control with the 12V accessory port is just cool! I needed some help hooking up the wiring, and Twisted Throttle was absolutely a pleasure to deal with. I will get some pictures soon and post them.
Also, let me put to rest anyone who doubts the SW Motech Alurack. I wondered myself, however, while it may not be as rigid as the givi, it is VERY rigid. I was very suprised to see how strong it really was. I am very happy with my purchase.
