On my '08, bone stock, on regular 87 octaine with the 48ltr. CooCase on the back, 16T countersprocket, according to my Garmin 260, for over 2 miles, level road, with my porkey butt on it as tucked as I ever am: 132mph GPS , & not that close to red-line. Indicated on spedo was almost 135mph. Or most accurately stated; about 25mph faster than I want to ride it again. My Bud @ the local dealership said it was a exceptionaly good running one for bone stock.

I opened up my GSX650F on a nice stretch of highway with a slight downward grade, I was able to hit about 143mph. And as we all know the speedometer is off quite a bit, so my guess is I was in the 137-138mph range. No special add-ons, just a basic shorty slip on; Overall: pretty happy with the power of my GSX !

At high speeds, take about 7-8% of the speedo to get the real speed. So its about 130mph.
