Hi all,

I'm considering buying BT 016 Bridgestone Battlax Pro Hyper sports, for better performance.

Has anyone tried this style and type ?

Cheers

Skydance.

Since I was pretty much unimpressed with the stock Bridgestones, as I think most are on this forum, I wouldn't be inclined to buy any of their other tires. Many here have gone to Michelins with good success. I run PR3's and like those. May just be perception but I think the PR3's handle way, way better than the stock.

The BT023 is a good tire for this bike, nothing like the originals.

Skip the Bridgestones and try the Continental Road Attack.

I've got a pair of brand new Shinko Apex series tires on mine at the moment. they're the stickiest, highest performing tires shinko produces, outside of their slick compounds. I'll letcha know if they're worth the cash soon enough. which is going to be something, considering they're really no more money than their touring tire.

you may not get the wear out of the hypers on this bike.

I have the BT 023 160-70-17 And it feels sure and true.

I did try briefly pirelli diablo, but the rear seemed to be a magnet for screws and nails, the 3rd one being my downfall. Literally.

Will stick with the bridgestones again - looking at wear there should be another 10k or so (for 15 k total)

I am a 99% commuter - get what you want and give it a crack - at worst you nurse them a few months or spring the $300ish for new boots.

heh, my test so far, was to knock the shine offa the back tire, and see if it wheelies without spinning in 20* F cold... and it does...

my guess is when it gets good and warm out, they're going to be stuck to the pavement like cement.
