Did like they call for aircraft a TBO, some major stuffs besides removing the fairings sides and tank, then
a two hour washing, and oil change then the real fun spark plugs. I thak all who posted how too really helped.
i do see isssue with the igniters, one no dust cap, and electrode does look a little dull. i did clean the bodies
found lots of grit on two and three, yep closet to front wheel.

Did a lot of wax on wax off, did find on riders right side on upper fram near evap canister on weld light rust i cleaned off and
touched up, so some pics of "under the Hood and plugs, 25k miles, plug four looks the worst, rest not too bad.

Yep, spark plug change is really fun  I needed 2 hours for it.

Glad I changed them for Iridium version that last longer. On my frame the welds (from the rear pegs) also showed signs of rust. And this with enough cleaning and no winter riding. Pretty bad from Suzuki

BTW You did 25k miles on the stock plugs?

Hi Kadett yes stock plugs, i will stick with these, for i think, if u leave long life plugs in
will be impossible to remove the ignitors. Hey do u know the service life of the ignitors.

Wow the frame rusting is not good, i think your close to sea and bitter winters.
i did whole season commute and Susuki and my paint work did great.
Your frame rusting was it on the welds ? The frame to me is really solid piece BUT
rusting at weldments oh oo.
Cheeers

The welds where the pieces of metal are welded to the frame where the pass pegs are mounted to. I found it out a month before trading it in. Both sides had it.

About the spark plugs, the Iridium ones I got from ebay for cheap (UK supplier) so they were only a few bucks more then normal ones and I already knew I wouldn't be getting above 30k km on my bike before trading it in :)

About the ignitors, sorry dont know and dont have the Haynes manual anymore (sold it to a local 650F owner). But on a big Dutch forum there is a guy with 60k km (roughly 38k miles) on the F and never heard him talk about replacing the ignitors.

Pivot pins were worn on my bike and the pegs wouldn't stay up anymore

About the Speedy...................
Think my arms are at least 1" longer then before, the engine has 90% of its 72lbs/ft torque available at 2500rpm and just pulls
Powerwheelies are possible in 3rd gear  Not a wheely kind of guy so was kinda suprised ripping it in 3rd and having a loose handlebar in my hands and looking into the sky doing 100kph
Fuel economy is great for what the bike is capable of, usually around 40-44mpg with fooling around.
Sound is amazing with a low mount Mivv GP.
Brembo brakes are up to their task and so is the ABS system.

So yeah, still glad I made the switch, done about 4000 miles since May but very bad weather around here and had a lug injury for 3-4 weeks so cant complain :)

Now under the windscreen, did some airbrushing of housing for the clocks, and my added compass temp unit, one more final pass and be done here how it looks now.

F104s... your a coulorfull guy.
I like the contrasting silver.

I'm thinking to trade my GSX in , I want a newer model with ABS.
The GSR750 is a nice bike too.... without fairings
But I don't like the colors of the new models.
I like the cusom paindjobs , I like the Yellow-tech one.

Thanks Lampie, yes the silver really does contrasts and makes scanning the clocks easy too.

Plus gives a finished look to the cockpit.

Yes i like color, when i first saw the black
and silver i was wishing for that yet when my blue one was rolled
in the sunlight was so glad i got the blue one. And yep i add more color too.

The orange 650 i like and Kawasaki sparkle green is my other favorite.

If u trade in hurry i notice less models being offered on the Suzuki USA web site.

Just a note i looked at all the Italy motorcycles and the MV Agusta F4 uses a steel tube frame
and aluminum .

Still for me and my riding the 650 perfect, well after lots of mods and paint.

f104s,

I just passed 9k and I need an oil change. Want to replace the spark plugs as well. New tires maybe the end of next season. Then there's the filter and long list of mods. About $1,500 worth of stuff I want to do. She runs well; a little grinding going int 2nd gear once in a while but I'll also re-do the old mods and keep riding.
