Hi folks,

Picked one up off flea bay a week ago so I can do some overnight touring.

The OEM grab rail bolts aren't long enough though. Anyone fit one of these suckers and know what bold length is needed?

Thanks,
W

Hey Wobbles,
2 different bolt lengths obviously-
Big Bolt- 75mm Over all length, 65mm long under the cap head (so the actual bolt part that goes into the hole, but only 30mm of the length is threaded...
Little Bolt- 65mm Over all length, 60mm long under the cap head, again, the part that goes into the hole, and only 25mm of the bolt needs to be threaded...

Hope this helps and that i havent confused you too much :D

Thanks Dashy,
Also exchanged a couple of emails with the fine folk at Ventura and they are sending the bolts to me.
Gotta love their service (and products)

the ventura rack for this bike is an excellent design... 2 seconds on and off... Other bikes it runs along the length of the tail and up the frame etc, so getting it on and off is a bitch, and it looks stupid. For the gsx though, i travel down with my bag on, and when i get there i just pull the rack off and cruise around without it on. That way no one can flog it and it doesent look stupid having a bracket poking up out of the back of the bike... Best 450 bucks i spent... Apart from my yoshi :D

Destroy it... Or... Take the baffle out, then destroy it... It is a device of pure evil...

I need it to get the bastard out - this weekend it will be flung over as many fences as I can muster...

Good Lad... It's for the best... It is a loud pipe, but its only loud if you're up it... So chances are, if you draw attention to yourself because of your aftermarket pipe being too loud, then a defect notice will be the last thing on your mind... I.e, speeding, power wheelies and so on would be a more pressing matter :D
