I sat on a new Kawasaki(BOO!)Z1000 today. What a cool bike.It just feels right.Don't know if I could live without a fairing,I commute every day, rain or shine and it does make a big difference.

I have ridden my son's Z1000 many times, it's a great bike, fast as all get out and does not handle to bad, he has his tricked out to over 120 HP, the riding position is of course that of a crotch rocket, unless your doing 75 or above, all your upper weight is on your arms, wrists and shoulders, it has a little wind screen that does just about nothing, so if your able to put up with the riding position and no wind protection it's a fantasic bike, DaveG

You can get small aftermarket screens for about $200 that clip on to your handle bars, they might not look great but do the job ,monday to friday ...take it off on the weekends ,they take 20 seconds to remove once you have set up the small clamp that stay attached to the handle bars ,if you didn't show anyone the black clamps they would even notice them when the screens not on.
