My husband and I took our bikes away for the weekend as an early anniversary trip. We will be married 7 years next Monday. Anyway, we rode through 4 states in 2 days and 600 miles. The weather was perfectly beautiful and the roads and scenery were awesome. Here's a few pics from our trip:

Be careful what you wish for, pancakefactory! :D ;)

Kath, congratulations. Very nice pictures, looks like a wonderful trip. The pics look even nicer with the GSXF... 8)
BTW I'm jealous, those roads look amazing. The condition of the roads over here is downright miserable, and the scenery isn't as great either :(

haha I love my Alaskan Leather sheepskin butt pad! It did a great job on our 300 mile days! Money well spent. They call it a cow pattern, but it reminds me of my Appaloosa mare I had to sell a few years ago, so I picked the pattern because of her. It makes me smile :)

I see you are in maryland. I'm in PA and was wondering what states you went through since the pictures are very nice and the roads look great to ride on. also, what luggage system do you have on your bike?

This was our route for the most part. We did have one or two minor deviations. The states were MD, PA, WV, and VA...easy to do 4 states in 2 days in this area ;)

Oh, and the saddlebags are Nelson Rigg CL-950's. The tail bag is just an off brand one from JCWhitney I think....I'll need a bigger one for longer trips though. I mostly use it for carrying my purse in for commuting to work and such...it doesn't hold much, so I'll need to look into a bigger one. I am planning to get a Nelson Rigg one so it will attach directly to the saddlebags. The tank bag is a Joe Rocket Manta (comes in other colors besides pink btw ;) ). It's also not big enough for a longer trip than what we took, but I really only keep my cameras and little odd and end stuff in it.

haha It just sits on top....I haven't done anything to the saddle. It's very comfortable on long trips and was a load cheaper than a new saddle. I like that it's different...I like my bikes to have a unique personalities like I do and not look the same as everyone else's ;)

haha Thanks, Dwayne.

I should include a pic or two of hubby's bike so he doesn't feel left out. Hey, it's a Suzuki at least, if not a GSX ;)
