I just got my 2009 GSX650f and was wondering what are the different MPH range for each gear 1st - 6th. I have been riding a lot, but I have just been only up to 3rd gear on the side streets.

Yeah! they are in the book, as far a when to shift up and downshift. I was just wondering from a more experience GSX650F drive; how fast can you go in each gear? EX. 1st = O - 12+MPH, 2nd = ... ETC

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItgKr72UUuE About half way through the video it shows the revs in the different gears.
It's in Kilometers per hr, so you'd need to convert the numbers, if it's important.
Choose the bike you want form the drop down lsits (in this case it will be - Suzuki, GSF Bandit, 650)
CLick on "load presets"
Change your selected units to what ever you want (in your case MPH)
Change the M.P. RPM field in the red section to 12500 (this is max RPM)
Click on the "stock" word
Read the sheet
Then play as you wish
what the sheet shows as full speed in top gear at red line is not reality as there are other factors involved. The figure shown is a theoretical speed
Using the gear ratios published in the Owner's Manual and the Service Manual, the stock 48/15 (3.2) final reduction ratio, and assuming 5860 rpm at an actual speed of 65 mph (published by Motorcycle Consumer News, a reliable source) the maximum speed at the 12,500 rpm redline is calculated to be:

dempseyr - You are a new rider, and have already dropped your bike. For now, just up shift at around 5000 RPM. And don't exceed 6000 RPM during your first 500 miles on the engine. (I'm assuming you have a new bike that is still in the break in period). Yes you can go really fast in first and second gears, but you, and your bike are not ready for that yet.... Be safe, and have fun!
