Hi guys, came of my bike a month ago, old man changed lanes into me, going around 30kph, I wobbled, and fell onto my right side. Thank goodness for gloves, as my hand was safe, although my knee had a fair chunk out of it, and my jeans were trash. Thankfully mechanically ok, just had to do a bit of searching for the rear brake.
Been in the shop now for 6 days. Hopefully not too much longer.
The assessor wouldn't allow an aftermarket can, even though stock was $1200, and the Yoshi TRC carbon fibre was half the price. Lucky for insurance.
For those Sydneysiders, http://msrc.com.au in Blakehurst have been quite good - would have loved a 'courtesy bike' to get around on though.
Conveniently due for 6000k service, done at same time,

Yeah part out your bike and sell it here.
Its crazy how much it cost to repair it doesn't look that bad. But I've seen a bandit being writen off ,because the foot peg dinted the frame ,you wouldn't even of noticed it. A dint it the frame is a write off .

it is insured up to $7500, so no drama's. Still waiting on some parts apparently, so next week. On the train in the meantime, and doing night shift, easy to stay for one beer too many and miss the last train. $75 cab fares will hurt.
After reading this I am more convinced that I will just leave my scratches alone, the bike rides well so what does it matter the appearance ... 1200 for the can alone??!!!! I could ship mine there and still make money!
