Now that I have a Tourmaster Synergy Heated Vest Liner with Collar and Synergy Electric Heated Full Pant Liner I really don't know?
(Snow or Ice is out of the question)

From what I see, keeping the core warm is alot of the battle, to answer the question..No, and it was only 43°F when I tested. I also have the harness installed on my Burgman. (full frontal protection)

We (like the rest of the country) have had a real cold spell this week in GA. We usually allways have some hardcore bikers that ride to work all the time, but I have been the only one to keep riding this week. I rode to work one morning this week and it was 17 F (-8C). That's a new record low for me! I have heated gloves, and that's what makes it possible. A heated vest like the TourMaster one pictured above would be heaven!

We've had an unusually cold winter here in UK. There has been snow on the ground since 17th Dec. Trouble is most of the roads are now just covered in compressed snow and ice. Our councils are not equipped to deal with it as it only happens ever 20 years or so. Apparently we are even running out of salt and grit for the main roads and motorway networks. They are forecasting another 10 days of it too. The cold I dont mind, but the icy roads are just too risky for me to try riding on. So I'm having to walk 30 minutes to the train station, then 15 minutes from end station to work. I dont mind the walkign but even that is hard work on the ice. I'll be glad when the heat comes back.

Personal low this morning of 12 F. That is about my limit given the clothes I have for my 7 mile daily commute.

Same here Kris. I am fine with just the heated gloves. I finally got the pants that match my Tour Master jacket and they work GREAT!. I don't need a heated jacket or pant liner. I ride all of the time except if there is ice. I only drive my car to get a butt load of groceries and drive if it's icy.

Hey everyone. I'm in Michigan. I rode mine a few days after Christmas. I wanted to try out some of my Christmas gifts; Fieldsheer jacket, BMW Pro Winter 2 gloves, and the Scala Rider FM. It was a dry, sunny day. The roads were clear of snow and ice. It was 7 degrees F out. With the windchill it was -5 F. I started on a local road and could only last a few miles before my fingers felt numb and frozen. So much for those new $150 gloves! I went home, warmed up and went back out. This time, I put on some latex surgical gloves underneath the BMW gloves. I lasted about 20 minutes doing freeway speeds (70 -107 mph), however, that was it. My fingers really hurt. I wish I could handguards that fit our bike! Cold hands are the only thing that I hate about cold weather riding. The Fieldsheer jacket kept me nice and warm. Oh, and the Scala Rider FM is awesome! Next, I have to try out my Hero Go Pro camera!

REALLY wanted to ride today, but temp just won't climb outta the 20's and roads still have some slick spots .... these brittle bones don't need encounter with pavement at speed. :o
Bit of sunshine & +32 expected by Tuesday .......................
