I thought, something related but still off topic. I was wondering what kind of Brand for a Helmet you prefer and if so, what kind of design you're having on it?
Me? Well, I like/love Shoei Helmets, would love to have a Simpson/Arai or Schuberth, but to be frank, they're quite hefty on the pocket, when it comes to price. I also have a Vemar Helmet, as my Shoei is a Multitec is a flip up Helmet, the Vemar is a traditional full face. I've chosen the Vemar, because of the design and the rating while reviewed, which astonished me to be honest. Speaking of design, I'm all Stars and Stripes, my Flag, and so Vemar offered me that at a decent price. My Shoei is currently with a specialist for a Flag theme, so I'll share some pics once it's back.
Here's the Vemar with a Blue Shield, which is truly awesome, as it get that big light bulb decently out of my face, kind of important, since I'm wearing corrective lenses else, I'd be blind like a Mole

Thank for the reply SouthernCruizer, for how long are you planning to use your Helmets, before you retire them for good? Me personally I sweat a lot *blush" but I got this Helmet cap, so the liner isn't as fast too wet. I think after 2 or 3 Years it's time to change.

I don't like to use one for more than 5 years as from what I read your sweat and just the helmet getting older breaks down the foam inside. I've found Arais to be the most comfortable. I look for sales and just bought one with the Okada Dragon graphics in silver and black for half price from a place in Ohio.

I have an AGV Stealth in black/silver, which is almost past it's "Best Before" date - the top vents fell off and are now taped. There are numerous stone-chips all over it, and the visor mechanism is so loose it's either "all the way up" or "all the way down". But I'm saving for a Takamii:

Having 4 or 5 helmets to rotate help to keep them fresh. Also, Febreeze is your friend. I spray them every now n then, plus I sometimes put a Bounce fabric sheet in them for a few days. Amazing how fresh they stay. I think the helmets are good for a number of years, unless you crash with one.
I have a black Schuberth C3. Great helmet; very quiet and I like the flip-part as I wear glasses. Makes everyday use much easier. Consider having it painted white or visual vest yellow

That AGV Stealth has a pretty awesome looking design!! But the Takamii is wicked Great choice!

I can imagine that the Schuberth is a great Helmet, the flip-part, was what made me by my Shoei. like you, I wear glasses and it makes life much easier. Yet compared to my Vemar Helmet, the Shoei seems to be a tad "noisier".
@All, Thanks for your answers, much appreciated. I figured between 3 and 5 Years and a change of Helmet will be needed.

Arai fits my head, mine is the diamond white and I have the blue mirror visor like yours I do wash the liners because of the heat here but once a year I also replace them I was thinking about getting the gold visor so it would really look like an Astronaut helmet The glass flecks really shine in the sun

I like to own Shoei (love their design) but its too expensive for me. I have Scorpion EX400 (red/white tribal) and AGV modular helmet (plain blue). Modular helmet is very convenient but full face is more comfortable.

Thanks Sleddog, After owning several shoei helmets, i never thought i would buy a Rjay, but they appear to have stepped up their quality on the SP2s.
