I found this link during my search for front tire size to order the Metzeler Roadtec Z6 interact front tire. First i did not know the 650 could go as fast as posted in the data field, And the you tube link not in english, i think really shows how potent the 650 is.

The link http://www.technical-specification.com/ ... -and-video

150mph makes 240km/h. I've gotten it up to 241km/h on the speedo going downhill with textile gear and a tailbag. Minus 7% speedo difference to real life makes about 225km/h which makes more sense.

Best that I did was 223KM/hr on the GPS with Power commander, after market exhaust, K&N air filter and TRE to remove the limiter. It was slightly uphill. It reaches 200 fast and after that took for ever to reach 223 on the GPS.

Bikerboy traded his 650F in last year (or the year before??) for something with a 'little' more power
Namely a 1340cc Hayabusa :)

Really? 200Km/h (indicated) was quite easily reached yesterday on my '08, with a few thousand RPM to spare...
Hell, it'll do 160 between sets of lights on my daily commute!
You are letting go of the clutch, right?

I'm not sure of your point there MDW - are you calling me a liar, or do you really think I'm cool?
You can tell me, we're all friends here...

I think your cool. I get it up to 160-170km/h at least once if I get on the highway, bike is designed to cope with higher speeds :)
Can't wait till May 4-9. 5 days of unlimited riding in the German Eifel :D

Why thanks Kadett! I do that run once per month (Putty Road, for the Sydney folk...), so I'll be sure to strap on the GoPro next time I take the F up there...

And just as a reference point, I've maxed out my little 1989 model 250cc at 155Km/h on the same straight, so I'm kinda surprised to hear one of us only gets another 20-odd outta their F...

my 25kw restricted Gsx650f will only do 156 km/h or 97 mph in England, so the speedo tells me which is probably too generous.
