For some of us, the riding season is in gear. For the rest of us, we have to daydream. Regardless of which camp you fall into, would be great to hear where you've ridden this season or planning to ride. Pics aren't a requirement, but would be most appreciated!!!
Personal finances look to be issue for me this season and will limit # of adventures possible .... our family's CFO (aka Wife) has spoken on that subject!!!! Also, I'm new to motorbiking so just learning about the organized rides and just becoming knowledgeable about motorbike touring in general and sport-riding in particular.
Having said all that, following is what I'd LIKE to do in early part of upcoming season.
Moonshine Lunch Run. Early Apr >> 250 miles to get there >> Will likely camp >> One-day ride >> 250 miles home Guys on another forum have volunteered to accompany me down to the ride & make sure I don't get lost. Here's a bit about the ride ..... http://moonshine-run.com/Moonshine/ .... including timer counting down hours/minutes/seconds to day of ride!
Multi-day tour in SE Kentucky. Late Apr >> 500 miles to get there >> couple days of twisties >> 500 miles to get back home >> This is semi-organized event & I know group from my area will be riding. So should be able to hookup with some of them for the long ride down/back.
Hopefully, there'll be numerous unorganized rides sprinkled in as well.
So, again, WHAT ARE YOU DOING/PLANNING?

Hoping to get a week in Scotland in late September. Based in Pitlochry and visiting Loch Lomand and the Trossachs. Me and a biker buddy. Single rooms are a must! Rest of the time I'm afraid I'm quite boring and mainly use my bike as primary means of transport to get to/from work. I can probably find a picture of the offices.

I work on the top floor for an international bank.

Sounds like your gearing up for a good few rides. It's actually a lot of fun in a group ride just tagging along. You will have a ball. Think of it as a good chance to pick up on riding tips and skills too. You'll have a wealth of knowledge around you. I highly recommend it.
For me, i'll be riding everywhere and anywhere in no particular order on any given day. I do have a few rides I might do next week but that could change. Possibly the Great Ocean Road for a day and then The Black Spur and the Reefton Spur. The last two are like 'the tail of the dragon' and are considered some of the best if not the best motorcycle roads in the world. Both go through some of our Forest land and there is nothing else like it in the world. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-C6EgKWmNs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z26OoBshflE&feature=related
Also got an awesome ride planned with Mescol coming up. - Yes Mescol we will be riding both roads in the two clips . Just not as fast as those guys though.

Really cool, BB! That will be something!
Next week I'll ride ~1700km (1000 miles) leaving Sao Paulo City and going to a small town near from Rio de Janeiro called Armacao dos Buzios. Next I'll visit my cousin at the country side of Minas Gerais state, a four days prom party of his university (one of the best schools in Brazil).
Finally, I'll go back to Sao Paulo and change my F for a car, to visit another beach city from Sao Paulo state.

As it's my 60th birthday this year I'm hoping to get to either northern Spain or southern France. The mate can only get a week to ten days off, so we're fairly lim ited. Had hoped to make Turkey, but that'll have to wait.
just...everywhere. I can't wait for the summer to be here. This is driving me nuts.
Got a GPS for Christmas and plan on going on a few short trips at least once a week. 200-300KM to various towns and sights around my area at first, nothing special, but the joy is in the ride there.

Didn't do a long ride last weekend, just a nice cruise along the Old Pacific Highway to the Road Warriors Cafe for a burger and a coke. Glorious day of 30C.
Our wonderful Government has erected a HUGE new sign at the start of the road - "Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Zone" - and reduced the speed limit to 60kph in some places and 70 kph in others.

Here in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, I hope to ride up from Salem, Oregon into Washington state 3 times, once to Mt. Rainier, 2nd, over to the SW coast of Washington state, and 3rd, up to Centralia just to look for my vagrant brother.
I would like to ride to 3 areas in Oregon state. 1. the SW coast, 2. over to Hells Canyon in eastern Oregon kinda near Baker City, and 3. over to Bend, Oregon and ride the roads in central Oregon.
First, I need some new tires, and second, the weather needs to improve significantly, so I won't be going too far until mid-May, when I will ride a lot !!

Last year was a very good year. In June I rode from NKY/Greater Cincinnati area to St Petersburg in under 24 hours. On the way back did 964 miles in 15 1/2hrs. I was going for an Iron Butt but (no pun intended) bad weather caused me to take a short cut. (don't mind rain but thunderstorms and heavey lighting suck). Then in September rode to Gatlinburg, did the Tail of the Dragon then rode the Blue Ridge Parkway to the end and came home. In October rode to Ft Leonard Wood, Mo for training and back. So in comparison this year is going to be much lighter.
We are planning on going to Gatlinburg the last week of April and ride the area. I am going to trailer the bikes this time as I don't think my wife is going to be up for the long ride yet. This is going to be the only trip this year. With pre-deployment mandatory training I'm not going to have the time to take trips this year. I just bought my wife a gsx650f to ride (which is why I'm on this forum, to learn more about this bike).
If schedules work out this year I am planning a ride to AZ, not sure yet if I will try to make an Iron Butt out of it though, seems like a hassle for something that I know I had done anyway Once in AZ then the question will be do I have the time to then go to CA as well. I would like to make a nice loop of the Mojave up to Yosemite, then over to the coast and down PCH through Big Sur going back to LA.
Considering that the best way for me to get to AZ in the first place is just Freeways (I40) I will have to find other fun rides at my destinations
Anyway even if all I do is go to AZ and back it is at least 4k mile trip

No plans just yet but on the agenda
1 weekend trip to Sauerland, Germany 100% certain. 2 weekend trips Eifel/Schwarzwald, Germany 100% certain. 1 midweek/week trip to the Alps (France/Switzerland/Italy) Depends on me getting time off from work. 1 week to Spain (mediterranean coast, Barcelona downwards) This one has the least chance of being ridden. We need a van/trailer to go there, we dont wanna ride 3500km highway to reach our destination and back. Not good for the tires Its cheaper to rent a van/trailer to load 3 bikes up and go there by car.

At least one trip to New Hampshire, and hopefully one to Maine. Other than that, just some nice long rides around Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and maybe down into Virginia should keep me more than happy.
