Ok i was on you tube today and i stumbled across a video of people purposly redlining their motorcycle just to get a red hot exhuast. why? it hurts me to watch it idk maybe it is becuase i care about the machine that gets me from poin a to point b and sometimes point c. but any how i just dont under stand i have only bounce the rev limiter once by accident by shifting into a false nutral but check this vid out. but be warned u may get a lil pissed.

OMG, why would you want sparks to come out of your exhaust. cant he work out the sparks are created by his exhaust melting. Boy thats gonna be one nackered engine.

That is why I don't like to buy vehicles used.
I never did anything that stupid to any of my bikes, but I was much rougher on them when I was younger, than later in life.
What young people don't understand is, if you baby (proper maintenance, no hard riding, no riding on salty roads,...) your bike, it can last VERY many years. I had a friend who kept a Yamaha for 30+ years (last I heard he still had it). Although 30 years of use requires some anal care, you should expect at least 15 years for a modern Japanese motorcycle, if you keep reasonably good care of it.
The longer your bikes last, the fewer you will need over the course of a lifetime. This saves YOUR money (said with a Dutch accent - ING ad).
