I have the scorpion CF. I commute everyday and can't hear it much at all as long as you are constant (cruising) on the throttle... At WOT, this is what it sounds like. I got mine for $429 to my door...great price for what I got IMO.
I also have a scorpion CF and an very pleased with it, the sound at an idle is very deep, going through town everyone knows that you are there, but on the highway i dont have a whole lot of sound at cruising speeds, now if you jump on it and crank it up to 8,000 or more that you are going to hear it, and the closer you get to 11K the louder it gets but that could even be said about that huge chrome POS that it came stock with.
I also use the 650f as my daily commuter and do not have the Db killer installed.
I think as long as your helmet blocks alot of the wind noise from the road, you should be good with just about anything. I am not a huge fan of the way the Yoshi can sounds on this bike, but that is because it sounds just like every other bike with a yoshi can. Yoshi to bikes is like Flowmaster is to cars, they were huge to start with but then while others continued to improve their technology, they stayed the same.
I went with scorpion because it sounds good looks good offers the same minor HP and weight gains as the Yoshi can, but the sound is better and you NEVER have to repack it.
Just my bit
Paid $200.00 for mine delivered (Private Sale)....and yes its a CF

I purchased the Yoshi TRC carbonfiber can,a nd I live it.. It has a removable baffle which sits nicly in my garage.. With the baffle in it is slightly louder then stock.. Nothing too hugely loud.. With it out it is about as loud / deep as the sport bikes I ride with.. Really nice racey sound to it with the baffle out.
I think the R77 also has the removable baffle as well.. At least the Busa ones do.
I have the Two Brothers aluminum and I love it. The very first time I started the bike I had a huge smile on my face. Sounds amazing. I love the sound. It is much lighter, smaller and easy to install. it took me about 30 minutes to install. I have not noticed any difference in performance. You will here a little back fire when you back off of the throttle.

I bought the Yosh TRC in Stainless Steel and REALLY like the sound. Not too loud, just right. I didn't drill the pipe and put the "rivet" in. It seems fine with out that. Has anyone else passed on the rivet installation?

You must be refering to the rivet that helps keep the pipe from rotating, and the muffler clamp goes over top? I installed mine, I figured it would only take an extra minute anyway.
